The Granary Art Gallery at Weston Park, on the Shropshire \ Staffordshire border will be home to an exciting new exhibition this September, exploring and celebrating the connection the Bridgeman family at Weston had with the town of Bolton.

‘The Bolton Bridgeman Connection’ will demonstrate in photographs and stories, the role the Bridgeman’s as lords of the manor of Great Lever, would have had in Bolton. Their influenced helped shape the town into the key player in the Industrial Revolution that Bolton is known for today.

A large part of the exhibition will be colourful artwork created by pupils at Bishop Bridgeman Primary School in Bolton.

Gareth Williams, Curator and Head of Learning of the Weston Park Foundation has said, “It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to host an exhibition which has such close ties with our own roots here at Weston Park. The artwork by the children of Bishop Bridgeman Primary School will be a fantastic addition, as we pass the history of the family down to future generations”.

The Bolton Bridgeman Connection will be on display in the Granary Art Gallery at Weston Park 6th – 28th September 2017.

The Granary Art Gallery is open daily from 11am – 4pm.
