Several HHA Member properties feature in the new ITV period drama Lost in Austen

ITV's new period drama Lost in Austen is an ingenious reinvention of the classic novel, Pride and Prejudice, in which Jane Austen’s story is thrown off track by a very modern heroine, Amanda Price (Jemima Rooper). Amanda swaps places with Elizabeth Bennet (Gemma Arterton) and takes centre stage in the celebrated love story.

Several HHA Member properties feature in the series including:

Harewood House, West Yorkshire features as ‘Pemberley’ in the series and can also be seen on the opening credits.  The scenes at Harewood were filmed during October and November last year’ in the State Dining Room, East Bedroom, State Bedroom, the Gallery, Old Library, Parterre Terrace and in the Park. 

Allerton Castle, North Yorkshire, features as Rosings, the home of Lady Catherine de Burgh and a house on the Bramham Park Estate, West Yorkshire as Longbourn, the home of the Bennet family.

Filming also took place at Owlpen Manor, Gloucestershire for the new BBC1 series Tess of the D'Urbevilles scheduled to start on Sunday 14th at 9pm.
