Hartsheath

Miranda Kaufmann inherited Hartsheath - a historic house in North Wales - in 2006 and was appointed by English Heritage to research the links between their properties and slavery. In the course of the latter, she discovered  that in the former she had inherited not just a beautiful house  but a controversial legacy.  Thus she have watched the events and debates of 2007 with a personal as well as an academic interest.
