You need to wait until you have received your membership pack (which includes your card) from us. This is because you will need to show your membership card to houses and gardens in the Friends scheme in order to gain free entry.

If you joined the HHA and paid for your membership by cheque, credit or debit card we will write to you at the beginning of your expiry month, inviting you to renew for a further year. Renewal applications can be made using the form that we send you through the post, or by telephone, or via our website where we have a dedicated section for renewals. If you joined the HHA and paid your membership by direct debit, we will automatically claim your membership fee and send your new card (as per the direct debit statement that is sent in your new member pack).
Please download the direct debit form avaliable on our website or alternatively contact the membership department who will send the necessary form to you. In order to change your membership to direct debit we do ask you to please complete and return the direct debit form to us at least 2 months before your membership expires. This is so that we can complete the necessary adminstrative work this entails.
We ask for you to please allow 10 days for free delivery to cover administration at peak times.
We do offer a special delivery option which costs an additional £10.00. We need to receive your order by 12 noon on a working day, and your pack will be processed in order to reach you within 48 hours. Please be aware that this service can not be provided at weekends or Bank Holidays, and memberships ordered on Friday can not be guaranteed to reach recipients on the Saturday as we do not use the Royal Mail Saturday special delivery. If using the special delivery service, you will need to sign for your membership pack when it is delivered by Royal Mail. If you are not in when the delivery is attempted, Royal Mail will leave a note for you advising that you can collect it from a local sorting office. Royal Mail will not leave the package in an out building or with a neighbour, even if you request this on your membership application form.
