Good example of early Victorian Jacobean-style mansion (1833-41) with fine plasterwork, panelling, grand staircase and chapel by Salvin. Egerton Warburton painting collection.

Features: The 12-acre gardens, some of the finest in Britain, include a double herbaceous border planted in 1846 (one of the earliest) and a superb avenue of holm oak. Other features include walled, woodland and herb gardens, shrub roses and yew hedges.

The Hall, very much a family home, is a good example of an early Victorian-Jacobean mansion (1833-1841) with fine plasterwork, panelling, grand staircase and beautiful Library. The 12 acre gardens, recently voted one of the top 50 in Europe, include the double herbaceous border planted in 1846 and reputed to be the earliest in England. Many unique features include the Quercus Ilex columns, the pleached Limed Avenue and topiary. Other highlights include walled, scented and herb gardens, arboretum, collections of rhododendrons, azaleas and exotic trees and shrubs. 1987 HHA/Christie's Garden of the Year Award Winner. Guided tours with member of family or Head Gardener can be arranged. Tours of the house also available. The Tudor Barn restaurant, in the 16th century barn, offers lunches, afternoon teas and light refreshments. Arley offers an exclusive venue for weddings (civil and receptions), private dinners, parties and corporate events.
