Given to the Duke of Wellington by a grateful nation after the Battle of Waterloo in 1817. A classic English country house, the core of which dates from 1630 with Dutch-style gables. Filled with memorabilia of the Great Duke and his adversary, Napoleon, an exhibition includes the 1st Duke's 18-ton funeral carriage.
