|
The house dates from the 16th century. It contains 2 Tudor fireplaces in panelled rooms. The staircase is dated 1614. The Georgian appearance results from alterations in 1757. A high stone wall surrounds the garden in which it was set in 1843 the east window of Brasenose college chapel. Opposite is a picturesque stable yard with dovecote.
