Cowdray is one of Southern England's most important early Tudor courtier's houses, visited by King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. Partially destroyed by fire in 1793, its ruins are set in the stunning landscaped grounds of Cowdray Park. Accessible again after a major 21st century conservation project, Cowdray can now tell the stories of its owners and the daily life of a 16th century noble household.

A romantic ruin, set in landscaped parkland, dating back to the 16th century:
*Fully operational Tudor kitchen. *Large imposing gatehouse still standing. *Crenellated skyline. *Available from end of October to Easter each year.
Special tours based on literacy, history or buildings, with workbooks and certificates for each student. Currently specialising in primary curriculum, can be adapted for school's needs.

Venue for a wedding reception:
* Most of the ruins are open air. * There is one room which can seat 30 theatre-style (not wheelchair accessible). * Marquees can be erected on the grounds, subject to certain restrictions. * Available to hire any days from end Oct to Easter, plus on Mondays & Tuesdays from Easter to end Oct.
Organisations can hire the ruins and/or Study Room (not wheelchair accessible) any evening. Daytime hires available from end of October to Easter every year, plus Mondays and Tuesdays from Easter to end Oct.
