Mr and Mrs James Sellick are the owners and inhabitants of Pashley Manor, a Grade I listed timber-framed house, dating from 1550 and enlarged in 1720. They opened their gardens to the public in 1992 having brought them to their present splendour with the assistance of the eminent landscape architect Anthony du Gard Pasley and their team of gardeners. The Manor house is not open to the public but it is available to be used as a film location.
Pashley Manor Gardens 'One of the finest gardens in England' is a previous winner of the Historic Houses Association/Christie's Garden of the Year award and is a quintessential English Garden located on the Sussex and Kent border in the heart of South East England’s garden country. Pashley is a great place to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries, or, as a tranquil venue to entertain clients, hold a training course or launch a new product.
You and your guests will enjoy exclusive use of the beautiful 11 acre gardens for the day. In addition, catering can be organised to suit your needs. For instance, in fine weather you and your guests can enjoy a drink on the terrace and then a delicious buffet lunch in the Garden Room, or you could have warming coffee and tea on arrival and a traditional, homemade lunch.
Parties, functions and corporate events may be held in the Garden Room Café for a minimum of 20 to approximately 80 people, depending on the style of catering required. Pashley is open to the public from April to September so exclusive use of the room and gardens is only available on Mondays and Fridays, or any week day during the winter.
