On an early site, today's house is mainly Jacobean and Stuart. The house came into the possession of the writer Axel Munthe and he romantically refurbished it last century.
4 Apr-30 Sept: Wed, Thur, Sun & BH Mons. Guided tours only at 2pm, 3pm & 4pm. Other times by arrangement with the Administrator.
