A 1720's soft red brick house with portico and wings, commissioned by Horatio Walpole and designed by Thomas Ripley. Marble Hall contains 4 splendid doors of American walnut, reputedly given by Queen Caroline. Family study of Horatio Walpole by Amiconi. 19th century furniture.

Features: The park is also by Ripley, and charmed Horatio Walpole to comment: 'It is all wood and water'. Large, interesting kitchen with Peach House.
