Most of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs as they are on one level and the majority are ramped. In the castle, the ground floor only is accessible to wheelchairs (there are spiral staircases to the other floors). There is also wheelchair access in both restaurants, shops, the water maze and the miniature model houses exhibition. We have a limited number of manual wheelchairs for loan on a refundable deposit basis subject to availability.
Hever Castle has always been a popular location for filming and photography because of the historic importance of the castle and award winning Edwardian Gardens. Each enquiry is dealt with on an individual basis.
Hever Castle welcomes school groups. Visits can either be a pre-booked private guided tour or a self-enabled visit enabling teachers to take their groups around the castle and gardens at their own pace. Teachers' information packs available.
