Beautifully evocative 13th century double-moated castle containing a comfortable Tudor manor house built by the Boleyn family - the whole lavishly restored and extended by William Waldorf Astor, the American millionaire, from 1903. The home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's second wife and mother of Elizabeth I.
Features: The award-winning formal gardens were laid out over 30 acres between 1904-8 and include the Italian Garden - a walled 4-acre enclosure, topiary maze, Rose and Tudor Gardens, 110-metre herbaceous border, lake.

Most of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs as they are on one level and the majority are ramped. In the castle, the ground floor only is accessible to wheelchairs.

Hever Castle has always been a popular location for filming and photography because of the historic importance of the castle and award winning Edwardian Gardens. Each enquiry is dealt with on an individual basis.
Hever Castle welcomes school groups. Visits can either be a pre-booked private guided tour or a self-enabled visit enabling teachers to take their groups around the castle and gardens at their own pace. Teachers' information packs available.
Civil ceremony & wedding reception
The wonderful Sitting Room of the Tudor Village, overlooking the Castle and formal lawns is a unique place to be married. The adjacent Tudor Suite Dining Hall, again shrouded in oak panelling, is able to seat up to 64 guests. During Winter (Dec, Jan & Feb) it is possible to marry in Hever Castle and celebrate having a reception in the famous Dining Room that is able to seat up to 40 guests. There are fantastic opportunities for pictures to be taken in the formal gardens surrounding the Tudor Village.
The unique, peaceful and private surroundings provide ideal settings for all kinds of meetings and corporate entertaining. The Tudor Suite Dining Room is able to seat 25 delegates boardroom style or up to 60 theatre style. Within the Tudor Village there are twenty one individually designed bedrooms. The meeting rooms provide ISDN and wire free broadband access. It is possible to arrange for team building exercises including Golf available on the Championship course at Hever Castle Golf Club.
