Mighty fortress home of the Percy family, Dukes of Northumberland, since 1309. The exterior medieval castle is one of the finest in Britain - it was restored by Anthony Salvin, mid 19th century but it retains an appropriate relationship with the town. The interior includes lavish state rooms filled with excellent collection of Italian old master and sculpture.
Features: Set in a sweeping park landscaped by 'Capability' Brown.
