Home to the Earls of Derby and set in 4 square miles of secure landscaped parkland.
Groups and special visitsBack to top
Knowsley has been the home to the Earls of Derbys since 1385, and the hall, set in an extensive private park, houses a splendid and historically important collection of fine art. The hall today is a fascinating structure, boasting a classic Georgian faade and some extremely fine Jacobean, Baroque and Victorian interiors, including the breathtaking 58 foot long State Dining Room with its impressive carved oak panelling and lofty figurative ceiling. Since 1999, after the first phase of major restoration project, the Hall has been available for conferences, weddings, other private and corporate events and filming. Twelve bedrooms provide a residential option to all users.
Knowsley is open to the public for only five days a year (see website for details) although pre-booked groups are welcome throughout the year.
