Archetypal gabled Cotswold manor house of 1570 with taller block added in the 17th century. Famous as the country house of the artist, designer and writer William Morris from 1871 to his death in 1896. Here is an interesting and important collection of the possessions of Morris and his associates, including furniture, textiles, carpets and ceramics.
2010: House & Garden: Apr-Sept: every Wed and the 1st and 3rd Sat of each month, 11am-5pm (Ticket office opens 10.30am). Last admission to the house 4.30pm. No advance bookings on public open days. House has limited capacity; timed ticket system operates. Group visits Apr-Sept: Thurs & Fri, must be booked in advance.

Grade I listed Tudor farmhouse which was the summer home of William Morris from 1871 until his death in 1896.
