Home of the Giffards since 1178, the present hall is a red brick, stone porticoed Palladian mansion by Smith of Warwick containing original Baroque rooms and a magnificent central salon by Sir John Soane. Portraits include two generations by Batoni.
Features: 'Capability' Brown park has his largest lake, which he created with a dam. Remarkable park buildings include a bridge by Paine and a temple by Soane - as well as a false bridge, disguising the dam, by Brown.
