Holmbush House in Hellingly is a substantial Grade II listed Georgian country house built sometime between 1817 and 1830 on Tudor origins and is set in three acres of gardens and woodland. It is in an enviable position overlooking the Cuckmere Valley with breathtaking views of the South Downs.
Antique furniture complements modern facilities, including a spa bath in the 'Tudor Room' and its romantic French Louis XV bed. The spacious 'Empire Room' is a twin, its antique beds having elaborate brass inlays. The Bridal Suite is a substantial room with a triple aspect. In the guest sitting room, pianists are welcome to play the Bechstein.
An elegant and serene private home where guests feel more like friends than customers, Holmbush House is a place for a peaceful and relaxing retreat at any time of the year.
