Westenhanger Castle

Westenhanger is the site of a 14th century fortification with ruins, a reconstructed house, mediaeval barns and a large stone dovecote. There are 14 acres of meadows surrounding the lawned keep and a dry moat. The house is Grade I listed and the rest is a Scheduled Ancient Monument site.

Restricted opening for public entry to the grounds on Easter Monday & Tuesdays between 5th April-7th September. Group guided tours, to include access inside the house, available midweek by appointment.

Civil ceremony and wedding reception facilities.



A semi-permanent large marquee with connection to kitchens, bar and toilets. Can cater for up to 200 guests seated for meals and 300 buffet. Smaller weddings may use rooms in the house (60 max).
