Owned and lived in by the Proby family since 1660. Classical 17th century house remodelled in 1860 with gothic additions 1790-1878. British paintings in the collection include pre-Raphaelites. The library collection includes Henry VIII's prayer book.

Features: Gardens include restored Rose Garden, knot and sunken gardens and recently planted arboretum. New gothic Orangery and Bressingham Plant Centre (in Walled Garden).

Owned and lived in by the Proby family since 1660. Features include: Rose Garden, Knot and Sunken Gardens and Arboretum. New Millennium Gothic Orangery and Garden and Plant Centre. House dates from 15th century (Sapcote Tower) with Gothic wing (1790-1812) and 17th century classical wing remodelled in 1860. A very fine collection of pictures and furniture including works by Constable, Gainsborough, Reynolds and the pre-Raphaelites. Outstanding library with Henry VIII's prayer book. Private groups by arrangement to the house and garden on days we are not open to the public.
