Castle Ashby, second Stately Home of the Compton family was built in 1754 expressly for entertaining. Still owned by the family, this magnificent Castle together with its famous furniture, paintings and collections is used exclusively for prestigious and important events.
Civil Ceremony and Wedding Reception
Guests begin to fill the fifteenth century church and those staying at the Castle have breakfasted superbly and are traipsing across the formal gardens to join the congregation by the family porch. A horse and carriage in full livery await the bride's descent in the interior courtyard. If it is early spring, delicate aconites and snowdrops veil the lawns beside the church, later giving way to a carpet of triumphant daffodils acquiescing to the full bloom of summer and autumn roses. Castle Ashby is a magical place to be married. It is at once joyful, romantic and serene. The air one breathes is of true Fairytale. A wedding is a highly personal occasion, often the culmination of many years' subconscious collecting of ideas and dreams. It is a privilege and an honour to be involved in the organizing of so special a day and the staff at Castle Ashby can be as proactive or as unobtrusive as you choose. Castle Ashby, naturally provides a breathtaking backdrop, however if you should wish for a little help in making your wedding day unforgettably beautiful, our dedicated team of organisers is only too delighted to be of assistance. They are friendly, experienced and remarkably flexible in accommodating new ideas, rapidly becoming as excited and devoted to detail as the bride.
