Borders home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, mostly dating from 1812. Very good art collection and superb furniture and porcelain. The Monmouth Room contains many relics of the ill-fated Duke of Monmouth. Completely restored Victorian Kitchen.

House: Everyday July & August 1pm-4.30pm (Last Tour 3.30pm). Extended Tour 11:30am daily July & August. Country Estate: 2-18 Apr, daily; then wknds & BH in Apr, May & Jun, 11am-4pm; Jul & August daily 10am-5pm. Educational & Private Groups all year by request.
