A neat, square ashlar Georgian house with a cornice and balustrade and a loggia with Tuscan pillar; unaltered since it was built in 1760 and with wide views over Annandale. The long gallery completed in the 1770's was converted in the 19th century to house the owner's outstanding library. Modern paintings and works of art (by Rodin, Hepworth, Segonzac, Lowry and Wyndham Lewis).
Last week in July, 1st three weeks in August: daily (excluding Saturday), 2–5pm. Bus tours by appointment.
