Tall, noble, pale stone mansion designed and built by Sir Christopher Sykes, commenced in 1751. In dramatic neo-classical style, with interiors sumptuously plastered by Joseph Rose and containing fine furniture and pictures. An imperial staircase rises to the Long Library. Interiors rebuilt after a fire in 1911 include the Turkish Room.
Features: 'Capability' Brown park, 18th century walled rose garden and a recently laid out knot parterre.
