Cadland House

Fawley, Southampton, Hampshire, SO45 1AA

Cadland House encapsulates the original orn designed by Henry Holland in 1775 as a fishing cottage overlooking the Solent. Enlarged in the 19th century when the walled gardens were built, it burnt down in 1916 and was rebuilt in 1935. Capability Brown's smallest surviving pleasure ground was restored to the original plan after the storms of 1987 and 1990.
