Five star Glamis Castle has launched a new series of gift vouchers to encourage visitors to experience the spirit of Glamis during 2012 – the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The gift vouchers include a range of special interest private tours, a new afternoon tea ticket, Friend of Glamis season tickets and tickets to The Prom at Glamis.
Glamis Castle, located in Angus and once the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, is a picturesque castle set in a 14,500 acre estate and considered to be one of the most charming buildings in all of Scotland.
The year 2012 will be special for Glamis Castle as it celebrates the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a programme of special events and exhibitions. These range from a new Afternoon Tea which will feature some of the Queen Mother’s best loved recipes, to a new Diamond Jubilee Exhibition and the much anticipated return of The Prom at Glamis featuring the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. The Prom will take place on Saturday 11th August 2012. Gates open 4pm concert starts 8pm.
